Jill has a degree in child development and a career built on long-term roles, staying with families for years at a time.

She learned that lasting relationships take more than childcare experience. They depend on aligned expectations, and on families and nannies whose rhythms and values genuinely fit.

A talented nanny isn't automatically a fit for every home, and a wonderful family won't suit every caregiver.

That lived experience shapes every pillar, question, and standard on Fillmore.

Where It Began

What she wanted didn't exist. So we started building it.

In 2019, Jill was a professional nanny in her twenties, navigating dating apps on the side. She noticed the better apps let people show their values through prompts, and the ones that limited swipes led to more meaningful connections.

Families and nannies, entering one of the most intimate working relationships there is, were left to scroll, with no way to see compatibility before meeting. Somehow, choosing a date had become more thoughtful than choosing who spends every weekday with your children.

She believed there should be another option:

more thoughtful than a broad marketplace,

more accessible than a traditional agency,

and built to consider compatibility from the start.

That belief became Fillmore.
